naturheilzentrum bottrop also actively protecting the environment
expectations fulfilled: 59,952 kilometers by bike means a striking 8,633 kg in co2 saved. this is the successful result of the city cycling campaign 2014 in bottrop. naturheilzentrum bottrop, headed by farid zitoun and christian rüger, were among the 285 participants along with their team. from 30 august until 19 september, they tried to refrain from using their cars as often as possible and went by bike instead.
the closing event with an extra award ceremony for the most successful participants and a subsequent photo shoot recently took place at bottrop's auditorium. “the project, city cycling, was a huge success in all respects, not just because of how many kilometers were ridden by bike,” mayor, klaus strehl, concludes. this campaign once again showed that everyone can not only make a difference concerning the environment and climate protection but also for his or her own health and general well-being just bei making a few slight changes to his or her daily routine.
this is, of course, an approach that immediately resonates with farid zitoun and christian rüger of naturheilzentrum bottrop. “bikes can be a real alternative in everyday life, especially for short distances as practice has already shown in just a few days. it's not only a free solution but also a healthy and climate-neutral one,” says farid zitoun, who is excited about the cooperative, committed support for active climate protection with ecological benefits.
after holding an emotional speech, naturopath, farid zitoun, is appointed honorary foreign minister of the city of bottrop
of course the event had to include a speech held by the director and representative of nabo, farid zitoun. his moving words immediately touched the hearts of all those present. during his speech, he emphasized in particular the city's enthusiasm and passionate commitment for the project, city cycling and that of its inhabitants. “the People of bottrop are directly on board and actively commited to climate protection.” impressed by farid zitoun's spirited words filled with pride for his hometown, mayor, klaus strehl, appointed him to honorary foreign minister of innovation city bottrop.
“we have found an especially dedicated partner in naturheilzentrum bottrop,” says tilman christian, climate protection manager of the city of bottrop, praising the naturopaths' commitment. he adds his wish for the future by saying “i hope that we can move even more supporters like them to take part next year.”
the two founders of naturheilzentrum bottrop, whose hearts are in the ruhr region, are overjoyed by such praise. “the ruhr region continually inspires with innovations, creativity and vivacity.” one thing is for sure for the two active naturopaths: the city cycling project meets these criteria. it moves People in many ways, it's healthy and offers lots of added value for the quality of living in this region. “so it was no question that we would actively participate as supporters and, in doing so, make sure that the ruhr region picks up speed.”
