health culture | farid zitoun and christian rüger campaign for young artists
health and culture. for farid zitoun and christian rüger of naturheilzentrum bottrop, these two terms are inseparably connected. “health culture. that is something that is gaining in importance with many People,” explain the two healers with international renown.
health culture has not only been practiced at naturheilzentrum bottrop, moreover is has been lived there, too. now, farid zitoun and christian rüger strive to fill this term with life outside their practice facilities in the healthcare location, ruhr metropolis. “we are the city of innovation. the name represents our city, but should not solely be restricted to climate projects. health, culture, creativity – all that is part of it.” in the area of health, farid zitoun and christian rüger have long campaigned for ruhr metropolis. “we are partners of the bottrop health day and have belonged to the supporters and promoters of the charity run, “bottrop, get moving” from the very start.”
this year the sports event enjoys the very handy support of naturheilzentrum. farid zitoun also takes to the road and makes his Personal contribution to support the hospice work in bottrop. “the booster club for hospice work (förderverein hospizarbeit) is the recipient of the proceeds. the money is used to render assisting services for fatally ill People and their relatives. we must not leave them alone in this situation,” zitoun explains his commitment. what the scientific executives of naturheilzentrum have been doing on the issue of health for a while, they now want to tackle on a cultural level, too. “we want to support young artists and, at the same time, open new artistic leisure perspectives for adolescents and kids.
young, creative People
with tim berkels and jakob schneider, the two have found two young creative People with whom they want to turn their plans into action. the founding members of “2. besetzung”, a charitable musical club have already achieved a lot. their musical project “das tagebuch des bobby griffith” (the diary of bobby griffith) was awarded the hermann-hölter prize, an award for tolerance, civil courage and commitment. in the same year, they received the “vestischer kulturpreis – für menschen mit ideen (grimme institute award for People with ideas). berkel adapted the story of a young homosexual boy bobby from an american tv movie and schneider composed the music for it. 30 amateur actors aged between 16 and 30 were responsible for a full house and a thrilled audience at the performances.
business model with potential
the positive feedback inspired tim berkels and jakob schneider to continue on their path. with sb-productions, they developed a business model, in which they both channel their creativity now. the idea: they want to close the gap between amateur and professional music entertainment with their young music and show company. for them, the development of creative stage concepts as well as their organization and planning, the combination of music and acting and the support of young talents are a part of that. there surely is no shortage of ideas. work on a follow-up project is already well underway. “in october 2013, the curtain falls for musical thriller “die schreibmaschine” (the typewriter),” farid zitoun and christian rüger know. text and idea of the story, based on thomas bloomfeld, son of multi-millionaire and successful crime story author, rupert bloomfeld is penned by tim berkels. the music was written by raphael groß. this time, too, the production team uses amateur actors.
big, thrilling, impressive
farid zitoun and christian rüger are impressed with what the young creative gets done. “they bring together most different People to work with them on a common project. everybody contributes their strengths and thus, has a hand in producing something big, thrilling and impressive in the end. that is living culture.” the two well-known healers have taken up the cause of supporting young talents of the region and helping them to become known beyond their regional bounds. owing to their occupational commitment, they frequently put the health hotspot ruhr into the center of attention and share their very own therapeutic approaches on lecture tours. the international successes of the practice speak for themselves. with the same vigor, they now approach the project of cultural promotion. here, too, their commitment is by no means limited to the side tasks. who knows what surprises the audience can expect from an intrigue revolving around anger, creativity and a brutal murder? there's a lot on the cards. one thing is for sure: it's going to be exciting.
